Position Overview:
MLR.org is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our client’s multidisciplinary healthcare team. In this essential role, you will assess, diagnose, and treat a broad range of speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders, providing expert care to patients across all age groups. As an SLP, you will develop and implement individualized treatment plans, deliver therapy sessions, and work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive and patient-centered approach to care. The ideal candidate will excel in both in-person and teletherapy services, demonstrating a commitment to improving patient outcomes through evidence-based interventions. Key Responsibilities:
- Assess and diagnose speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans.
- Provide in-person and teletherapy sessions.
- Track and document patient progress.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals for comprehensive care.
- Educate patients and families on managing conditions and therapy.
- Perform swallowing evaluations and screenings.
- Maintain accurate patient records and reports.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and standards.
- Supervise assistants and interns as needed.
Qualifications:
- Education: Masters Degree or higher.
- Licensure / Certification: Current CA Speech-Language Pathology License.
- Skills: Ability to assess patient and family needs, and to also develop and implement a comprehensive plan of care.
- Knowledge of regulatory and accreditation standards/requirements.
- Knowledge of Medicare documentation standards.
- Recommended affiliation with the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Language: Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
